Harvest, harvest, harvest! - Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir grape was picked on 23rd October, being remarkably clean for
the very damp weather conditions we experienced this year. Although botrytis
had started to develop towards the end of the ripening period, thankfully we
were able to harvest them whilst still in a clean condition with the sugars and
acids at an optimum level. It is the first year that we’ve had any issues with
disease in this variety, which really highlights the effects weather can have
on the grapes and how carefully you need to monitor the harvest.
