Winter prep

Winter prep
In November we began to lay the hedge in between the two vineyards. We’ve
coppiced what couldn’t be laid, which allows the hedge to be improved over
time. In the future it will be laid again to reinvigorate the hedge and keep it as
a good habitat for wildlife. This benefits both vineyards in terms of airflow and
light penetration. We were graced with some light snow on the 20th
November, this is always novel and makes for a very atmospheric vineyard
although, it did make hedge-laying rather cold. We finished the hedge-laying
and coppicing in January and then continued with some smaller jobs in
preparation for the coming year.
